My name is Andy Ford. I am a Biomedical Scientist and have been a trade union representative for 30 years in NHS Blood and Transplant, where, by being organised, we have secured some of the best terms and conditions in the NHS.
I am chair of the north-west Health RISC and vice-chair of the Health NISC, which allows me to keep up to date with developments in Ambulance, Health Visiting and Estates.
The NHS is now under attack as never before with mass redundancies, down-banding and unilateral changes to shifts and other contractual terms.
